Colmar

Reflections
Colmar is located south of Strasbourg in the region of Alsace, France. A small town nevertheless known for its beautiful Petit Venice district (among others). You may visit the city for a daily excursion and try local cheese or wine since the city considers itself to be the "Capital of Alsatian Wine". Colmar might as well be your base to visit some Alsatian villages such as Kayserberg, Riquewihr, Obernai and others.

Petit Venice
Petite Venise is a district named after the scenery created by the river Lauch and the colorful houses on its banks. When the weather allows it, row boats will take you through this small canal where you may also enjoy your drink or food.

Tower through the mist

Misty tower...
It is the night after Christmas and there is mist over the city. The sight of the tower getting vague into the sky is quite impressive. The top is lost but the lights make the sky turn yellow... Makes you stare for a while!

Strasbourg

Strasbourg
They call Strasbourg the capital of Christmas! There is a reason for that but the city can be visited all year long. However, spirits are up during Christmas... Literally!!! Enjoy warm wine with fruits and cinnamon being served during the holiday period throughout the whole city!

Walk by the river
Apart from getting lost in the different markets selling all kinds of things, you might as well get yourself around the old city by the river. Walking by the water is relaxing but if this is too little for you, there is also a park to run or have a pick-nick!

Toy figures
Strasbourg is not only known as a holiday destination.  Located next to Oragerie park is the European court of human rights and the European Parliament. But as stated in the beginning the city flowers during Xmas and since these holidays are all about children, be prepared...

Pont Alexandre

Pont Alexandre.
Walking around Paris is something that you own to yourself if you visit the French capital. There is much to discover and it needs a lot of time and a pair of good shoes. The city is full of great spots popular or not and it would be a great miss not to search for them.

Beer!

Don't miss your chance!
Beer in Belgium is like Ouzo in Greece. There is a great variety to choose from and they all come in their distinctive glassware. Trappist and Abbey, ales, stout... all are available so don't miss your chance!
